About Us

In 2012, David and Trevor, UCLA students and aspiring filmmakers, connected to make their first film together. The film was part of an on-campus festival and became a finalist in the competition, earning it nominations in the nationwide competition. Streets Ahead Productions was born.

Within a year the two were working for clients and using their production experience to build a media portfolio. They continued making award-winning films and producing commercials, tv shows, live events, and music videos. By 2015 the team had grown to include Jonathan and the collective determined it was time to go official.

In January 2016 Streets Ahead Productions became Streets Ahead Productions LLC. What followed was a decade of high-profile productions. But what accompanied it was an evolving dedication to authenticity and representation. Streets Ahead Productions was founded by underrepresented voices in the film industry, BIPOC and female filmmakers. Streets Ahead Productions grew to work with partners and collaborators who share the same dedication to expressing those voices.

Today, Streets Ahead Productions continues to operate with the same attention to purpose and the same creative fire that started it all. Every project, from concept to completion, reflects our commitment to powerful, authentic storytelling that resonates.
